Best 99 range guide - ieat salmon

Post by ieat salmon on 2012-01-25, 17:46

Here's how the guide works: follow the instructions below, use the right equipment, and kill the correct monsters for the best possible xp rates. Now remember just because this is a guide to 99 range, doesn't meen it's going to instantly happen. It still takes time, and effort, just like every other skill.

    Level(s) 1-20: Item(s) required: sling

As soon as you create a character, go to the lummy cows. Just whip out your sling, put it on rapid and you should be at level 20 in somewhere between 30-45 mins.

Level(s) 21-30: tem(s) required: any type of shortbow, iron/steel arrows

Back to cows, but this time with a bow on rapid, fast kills and fast xp.

Level(s) 31-60: Item(s) required: Iron knives, Lobster (Optional: Multicannon)

At this level go north of Relleka to rock crabs, if you want place your cannon, but really all you need to do then is just get as many rock crabs as possible to chase you and just let your character kill them all. Without a cannon xp rate: 25-30k xp/hr, with cannon xp rate: 50-60k xp/hr

Ok, now you have gotten to the part when it gets tricky. After level 60 is when training will finally start to get harder, but it's not that bad. So you have two options, continue with rock crabs until level 99, or green/blue drags, if you do decide to go with drags here is what you'll need; Item(s) required: Rune c'bow, (preferably rune, or better, bolts), d'fire shield, multicannon (with about 2k ammo) the best range armor you can possibly afford, and I recommend bringing ranging pots for a little bit extra help. For food just take sharks.

Here's the deal, you go green drags, and it'll take about 50-60 trips of what I just said, and total to about 300hrs total, rock crabs will take even longer than that, but remember it will be faster than before. The choice is yours.
